Stubby's out of surgery!

Bob is out of surgery and recovery. They didn't attach the thumb. The thumb was cut off at the knuckle and Rose now has it in baggie! More info to follow.

Been a long time, been a long time...well maybe not long enough!

I wanted to let you know that Bob has encountered another challenge in his life.

Last night he was using a chop saw and accidently cut off his thumb.

He is currently at Harborview Hospital in Seattle waiting for surgery to reattach the thumb.

He is in Harborview due to the potential complications due to his past health issues (i.e. high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes, etc...)

Please pray for a successful surgery, speedy healing and no complications!

I will update you when I find out more.

Bob Kunz Update: Day 81 - Post 1

Hi everyone.

Sorry I haven't posted in a long while.

Life gets going and I haven't made it a priority.

Tammy, James, Kari and I went over to Bob and Rose's house this weekend to help search for their birth certificates and marrige certificate.

It was quite a job but we did find the birth certificates.

No luck on the marrige certificate though.

They need them for a meeting with Social Security on Monday.

I haven't heard how that went.

Bob is doing great!

If I hadn't known his history, I don't think I would have known there was anything wrong.

I'm not saying he is better, but he is making good progress.

The doctors have listed his as disabled. I'm not sure what that means exactly.

Please continue to pray for healing and God's provision.

Bob Kunz Update: Day 67 - Post 1

Hey Everyone,

Sorry I haven't posted in a week or so!

Bob and Rose are doing pretty well.

Bob has a touch of pneumonia. The persription for it had a copay of over $150.00!

They came into work today to meet will Bob's manager. Everyone was very excited to see Bob as you can imagine!

He is still walking with a cane but is doing very well.

They are still staying with Pat and Heidi.

Bob Kunz Update: Day 61 - Post 1

Well, Bob and Rose came in last night and Bob looked great!

The flight seemed to have no immediate effect on his condition.

He was bright eyed and feisty!

It was great to see and talk to him!

He should be coming into work in the next week to say hi to everyone.

He and Rose are staying with their son Pat and daughter in love Heidi for the next week or so.

I will try to keep you posted on the continuing progress.

Bob Kunz Update: Day 60 - Post 2

E-Mail Update from Melany:

Well this past weekend was pops and moms last weekend in Hawaii.

My family and the Moce family went camping. Pops and mom followed us out to the camp grounds on Friday...unfortunately it was pouring down rain.

We sat in our cars for about 45 minutes while the rain passed over. Pops and mom hung out with us all evening and then attempted to find their way back to my house in the dark. Mom did great!

Saturday they came back up to the camp grounds. To get to the camp ground from my house you have to drive around the island. This gave them the opportunity to see the island and get a little sun :o)

Sunday they spent packing up and getting ready to go home. Pops is VERY excited to be coming home.

Last night we had a BBQ at the pool at my condo. All the grandkids were very sad that papa and grandma are leaving.

Today is the journey home! They will get back into Seattle at about 9:00pm tonight.

This is where the next chapter begins.....
